After carefully measuring the room, we determined that this particular AC would be plenty, if not, more than enough BTUs needed for our living room. After installing, we found that the AC does not have a strong output to cool our living room. We actually have to wait awhile to cool the room. We had a previous 12,000BTU unit in our living room that gave us more than enough cooling and filled the room almost instantly. We ordered the same 12,000BTU unit and it takes forever to cool the room. I would not recommend this air conditioner unless you have a much smaller size room.

Replaced all my windows AC's with GE models. The 12K is for my living room. Usually I had to increase the volume of my TV or Radio when the old one kicked in. The past few days it has happened frequently I thought the unit was off as I had forgotten it was in quiet mode. And still the whole livingroom was nice and cool

The word quiet doesn't even begin to describe how quiet this ac is! It is truly amazing. This is for an office setting and at day's end I'm never sure if the ac is even on (I always turn them off at night before leaving) if it wasn't for the room being cool. Works great and well worth the cost!

I absolutely love this air conditioner. It is so quiet and cools my space with ease. My one complaint is that it makes this high pitch noise that is pretty hard to ignore once you notice it. I have searched all over to see if someone else has this issue but to no avail. Please let me know if this is a known thing and if it's fixable! The unit performs flawlessly though so it isn't a deal breaker, just want to fix it!

The GE 12,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner replaces an older same sized unit on a second floor bonus room above the garage. The air conditioner is heavy and while installation is possible with one person, two will make the process much smoother. Installation was typical of the other window units that have been installed in my house. Everything needed to install the unit was included. This unit is large, so measure your opened window space to verify it will open to the full height needed. This includes a remote and it can be controlled via the app and voice controlled via Alexa (and others), though it is not necessary to use this feature to operate the unit. Smart feature set-up took slightly longer than anticipated, but it appears to work as expected. Since the room we installed this in is a bonus room we don't use everyday, I enjoy having the wifi feature because I can cool the room down about an hour before anyone plans on hanging out up there. As far as cooling, it effectively cools the 550 sf room with ease and the unit is relatively quiet. The cord is 6 feet long Please remember the cord must be plugged directly into an outlet for safety purposes. The unit is solid and I am very happy with its performance.

My husband works in the garage quite a bit so I got this window air conditioner to help with the hot Florida days. We found it easy to install and set up and in no time we were enjoying nice cool air conditioning. My husband is into all the new technology so he was thrilled it was a smart unit so he can control it when it runs and it even reminds him when to change the filter! Since I've been working from home I've been using my shed as a makeshift office to give some privacy for conference calls and meeting deadlines, but in the summer months it's been a little stuffy. The GE Profile window air conditioner was a welcome change to that. I was able to easily install it in the shed window within about 15 minutes, and I had it ready to start cooling. I only got to use it for a few days before the weather turned cold, but I enjoyed using Alexa to control the air flow, and it runs quiet enough to not interfere in my web calls. I use the remote to start it up prior to heading out to the shed so that it cools down a bit before I get out there, and then I don't have to let it run all the time. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone who needs some cooling of a room, garage, or shed with the features of a smart appliance.

I was really excited to get this for an add-on room that has no central air ducts running to it. This a/c quickly cooled the hot room from 85 to 70. I love that I can control it from my phone. The app works well, no complaints here. Alexa, turn off my a/c is my new favorite thing! It was very very easy to install. It fit perfectly in my double hung window. It is lightweight and lives up to the GE standard. I love it. Being eco is just icing on the cake!

Got this to put in my storage unit where I work on my decals. IT WORKS TOP NOTCH! love the ability that I can connect to my alexa. Runs quietly and super cold air! Only downside is it is very heavy compared to a normal windo unit which is okay for me but could be a downfall for others. Very sleek design and overall great buy/quality. Highly recommend!

We got this for an extra room upstairs in our house where our son decided that he wanted his room. This unit was very easy to install in the window as you just secure it to the window with some screws. It fits perfectly and is sturdy in the window. The noise level of this unit is great. I remember having window units before that were so loud it was hard to hear the TV...this one is not totally quiet but even on the highest setting it is easy to hear the TV or talk to others in the room. We like the fact that you can use the app to control it with out having to run all the way up the steps in case you forget to turn it off or even when our son is on the way home he can turn it on to cool the room down. This unit cools a room down quickly and keeps the room comfortable.

I absolutely love this air conditioner! I don't have Central Heating and Air so I have window units I got this and it is so quiet. It has a quiet mode but you don't need it because it's quiet without it. Also it works amazing it is so cold controls are super easy I also was able to connect to my smart phone and control it through there. The controls are big and bold so that you can see them even on the remote. Excellent product very satisfied

This works perfectly to cool my bedroom without making the whole house too cold. I like to sleep in very cool rooms, but the rest of my family doesn't share this preference. Instead of making the whole house cold, I can now isolate it just my room with this little air conditioner. The room is about 12 x 15 and it cools down in under an hour on a hot day. I like the quiet operation and the easy installation, I was up and running within an hour.

This window air-conditioner from GE is awesome. It's easy to install. I couldn't use the things that you put on the sides because the unit is pretty big. But I was able to seal it with sheet rock. The features are amazing. There a wifi setting so you can control it from your phone. And it has a quiet mode that you can't even tell its on. Keeps my room very cool. I love it.

I just put this in the den which was super easy to put up. All hardware needed is included in the box so you don't need to do a home Depot run or anything. My dens about 20x30 and in Florida heat it gets super hot but in about 2 minutes on high this ac unit cooled my den down with the bonus of it being super quiet. Now me and the family can actually use the space for entertainment.
