    I bought this unit for a room that about 350 sqft. It does work well at cooling the room, but it is beyond an acceptable level of loud when running. The compressor kicking on will wake you up from your sleep.

    Got approximately 3 months of service from it. Now, when turning it on it only shows E1 and doesn't work at all. It looks brand new but is useless. Bought it just over a year ago so now I guess the repair is up to me. It's doubtful that it is worth the money to get it fixed, considering how quickly it broke the first time. I have never had an experience like this with an air conditioner. Buyer beware.

    This is a great product. The only cons I will mention is the app never connects at first to this device, so one has to go back to the app's main pg, then click the device again to control it. Secondly, like most portable units, they have styrofoam which makes sense for moisture though, even when the unit is regularly maintained by cleaning the filters, and releasing water, mold specs still become an issue, and it's hard to clean. Especially hard considering there are no instructions in the manual with how to take a part and clean the styrofoam.

    Set up the AC last night, it ran for 3 hours ans shut off. (Checked the tank EMPTY) Unplugged it for the day, plugged it in ran for 2 hours and shut off. Unplugged again for 5 minutes. plugged back in, now it won't run over 20 mins. Also checked the timer "0" Very Disappointed, thinking of returning it.

    It's a very nice color with great features. I love how it connects to the app as well for control from another room or simply the bed. Cos: there are so many blue lights that it lights up the room at night and i had to place several pieces of tape over them just to dim them some. Also, it doesnt cool as well as it says it does. As a matter of fact, i am only trying to cool my small bedroom with it at night and it doesn't do so well at all. And thats with the central air running as well. It's also very loud in comparison to any of the other portable air conditioners that I have recently owned.

    When you live in the tropics this is a must have. You central AC will breakdown at some point and usually in August. This portable unit was a life saver while we waited for the fix. My only suggestion is that the hose was easier to attach to the unit.

    Love that it is portable and can be moved easily. It works great for our situation because due to the size of our windows a window air would not fit, and since we rent not many options to pick from, it's easy to take care of not hard at all to remove and clean the filters and empty the water tray.     Its our first General Electric product but not our first portable air conditioner. It works great for our size bedroom and it shuts off when reached the desired set temperature.     This portable air conditioner did what I expected, it cooled down our apartment when our apartments A/C took a crap on a Friday evening. We were advised that our apartment A/C was not an emergency. Well with 90 degree weather, I beg the differ. The next day I went out & found this unit, I bought two of them. Ran them & they ran like work horses. Cooled down our entire apartment in a matter of hrs. Dropped the temp from 89 degrees down to 74. Everyone was comfortable again. Our apartment A/C did get fixed that following Monday. I ended packing both unit away before draining the water tanks, which were barley full. Surprisingly hardly any water drained out. If you look at the pictures, I placed each unit into a tub. The reason is because I read reviews on other portable air conditioners that they will leak onto the ground, so I did this as a precaution. Both will be used in cases like ours. This product is great!
