I bought this model because it is the only one available in bisque. It replaced a very similar GE dishwasher that only lasted 2 years. This time I bought the 5 year warranty. I am surprised as to how much the quality decreased in two years while doubling in price. The wheels on the racks are so fragile. But, it does wash the dishes nicely and is not real loud. Hopefully this one will last longer with the warranty.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. When the previous dishwasher, that I loved, stopped working I was talked into getting a new one instead of getting the other one repaired. What a mistake!!! Does not dry the dishes, they are always wet and trying to fill it us ridiculous. It is very poorly arranged inside.

We had a problem with the Home Depot installers. They delivered the unit and wouldn't install it even though we paid to have it installed and the old unit taken away. We were credited for the the work HD didn't complete but had to install it ourselves and dispose of the old unit. After we installed the new GE dishwasher, it wouldn't turn off. We called GE and they had their technician out the next day. He was great!!! He fixed the unit in less than an hour. The heater wire had come off. Kudos to GE...they have a great team. Oh BTW, I got the wireless connector and put it on. It was very easy.

The machine works, however the plastic inside smelled VERY plastic and had to run 2 quick cycles with 2 cups of vinegar in a glass pyrex to get rid of the stink. Door is flimsy and feels cheap. This machine cost the same of one I got 3 yrs ago with steel inside that blew out when we had multiple power surges with weather in KY. The top rack is NOT the same as in the picture and when you pull out the bottom rack, its so light it always flies off the rails. No cover for utensils. and NO little rack except for about 8" that will hold wine glasses. Frustrated that they charge more for cheaper more flimpsy appliances . BTW the installer advised don't waste $ on steel inside since they are designing the machines now to only last about 3-4 years. Thank heavens I basically use mine for sanitation of my dishes. Classic case of LESS is NOT MORE. And they make these right her in Louisville, KY in GE Appliance park!

We decided after needing to replace our 19 year old GE dishwasher that we would stay with the same brand since GE has been a workhorse for those many years. This was one of the only Bisque models on the market, and even though it does not have all the bells and whistles it is doing it's job well with plenty of space and the power to wash and dry thoroughly and is very quiet.

Very basic machine. We needed a dishwasher in the color bisque. That didn't leave us with much choice. The machine we replaced was much better quality but unfortunately had a part defect. This unit is completely plastic. The door is flimsy, the racks are basic but it drys the dishes better than any dishwasher we ever owned.

Needed a bisque dishwasher to match our other appliances. No other brand had one in stock. It cleans the dishes but smaller load than our old one. We move the silverware tray to the front of the lower tray for easier loading and return it to the right hand side when it's getting full. The trays are rather flimsy and the lower doesn't pull out very easily. The door itself is very light weight. If you need this color, it's likely your only option.

The dishwasher is a low end product, one of the few on the market available in Bisque color, the only reason we bought it. The inside construction is of thin cheap plastic, and the design of the lower and upper dish racks is rather poor, which makes the loading of the dishes rather inefficient. The boost drying function does on do a good job of drying.

Cleaning is good. Drying needs improvement. Interior remains wet even after using the Dry Boost function on High. There is also 1-1/2 cup of standing water under the filter basket after cycle is complete. Called GE they can send repair person but may cost me $120 if they determine that the amount of standing water is normal. I have had this unit for one week and have used it approximately 4-5 times. The filter basket is now growing black mold. The appliance is made of all plastic and the door is extremely light weight. It is also a bit noisy when being ran, not at all quiet.

We had a GE Select previously. We had it for 20 years. Good quality and operation. I am disappointed with the quality of this machine. I hope it lasts. Parts seem cheap. I would never purchase this model again. The silverware holder has only three compartments. Should be four so silverware is better separated. You cannot turn the heat function off. Dishes are so hot at the end of the cycle, you can't handle them until they cool.

Cannot recommend, lower shelf falls off tracks

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this dishwasher, or any other GE dishwasher that has the same type of wheels/same type of door track.Multiple times per week when we pul the bottom shelf out it falls off the tracks and gets crooked. While it is easy to lift back into place it is extremely frustrating every time it happens. Photos attached. A much more minor issue is the silverware basket that does allow forks to get stuck. If GE just spend a little bit more money making the vertical walls a bit narrower this would not happen. Photo attached. On the positive side, this dish washer does wash and dry well on normal wash/normal dry settings (we do not use rinse conditioner) which is what the manual says the energy efficiency rating was based on. It is also quiet, although at some points early in the cycle it does sound like someone is pouring water on the floor for about 10 seconds. That sound was alarming the first week or two but then we got used to it, otherwise it is quiet. Cycle time is not excessive....maybe 2-2.5 hours on normal settings. Finally, my wife insists on bisque/cream colored appliances and this was one of only TWO dishwashers that I found available in the color bisque/cream. Both dishwashers were at the low price point with few options. I chose the GE because it was going to be available a few weeks faster than the competitors offering. If GE or their competitors had offered a more expensive, higher end dishwasher I would have jumped on it. Why do I mention it? I wish GE would offer more than just the low end appliances in bisque/cream.

GE owns the market for Bisque kitchen appliances and offers two lower end dishwashers in the Bisque color. Unit is light-weight with lots of composite/plastic in its construction. It has an inoffensive, nondescript appearance. It lacks the upscale features that are often ignored in every day usage but which allow a dishwasher salesman to wax poetic. It does what a dishwasher is supposed to do, consistently turn dirty dishes into sparkling clean dishes. It is quiet with simple controls. Good value for money.

So far not as great as I thought? First of all the machine runs like for ever. No timer? Will not get spaghetti sauce off dishes! The dishwasher doesn't say what cycle it's in? Seem like it runs forever!

This machine may be too simple for me, as I am having trouble with settings. There is a lot of flashing going on in the Cycle section, it rarely lands where I want it to, and I cannot seem to get it back to Normal. User error, I am sure and I will keep trying.

This model is similar to the one it replaced, but it takes hours to complete a cycle. Frankly, the primary reason for purchasing it was because its color (biscuit) matches the other appliances in the kitchen. The silverware basket can only be placed along the side of the roll-out... which is a disadvantage. Our old unit had the basket along the front, which is much easier to access.

Very pleased so far with this product. It is quiet, efficient, and user friendly. Although it doesn't seem nearly as sturdy as the 15 year old plus dishwasher it replaced (nothing manufactured nowadays is, is it?) we are pleased with its functioning and it looks great in our recently refurbished kitchen.

This washer looks nice from outside but not inside. Everything you touch feels like it is about to fall apart. It will not dry the dishes, whatever you do,due to poor design. There is no vent for the moister to get out of the machine. The door sensor switch get out of alignment every second time you open the door. And now, 5 months after installation it leeks water on my kitchen floor. And guess what: GE will not take it back!

My old dishwasher started leaking, so we just purchased the new GE dishwasher. It operates more simply than my old one, and is quieter. The ONLY thing I would change would be to add a delayed start feature!
