Bought this dishwasher to replace a higher end GE washer that gave up the ghost at 5 yrs old. Bought another GE to match the other appliances. So far it has worked well. 4 stars due to lack of gaskets/trim to cover and conceal side gaps…had to pull from old dishwasher.

Overall, I really like the exterior design/look of this dishwasher, and so far I am pleased with the performance through the first few loads of dishes! Installation was pretty simple as well, if you are doing it yourself. I replaced an older unit that was there for years, and I would suggest replacing the water line and drain hose to your sink/disposal as well, instead of taking the chances of them leaking or having issues after installation. I am not super experienced with installations for dishwashers, but with the help of a YouTube video and the instruction manual, it was pretty simple and can be completed in about 2-3hrs max (less if you're experienced, I'm sure). I would have given this 5-stars, but just a couple of clunky things that aren't great in my opinion: the door hinge squeaks a little bit when opening and closing (probably just needs some WD-40), and the racks aren't as smooth as i would expect for a new unit, in terms of how easily they slide/roll out. Otherwise, no issues to report as of yet, and for the price, I really can't complain about the aforementioned minor quirks.

Performance: This DW does a great job cleaning my dishes, when you turn it on there is a big indicator light on the door that indicates whether it is cleaning (orange) or finished (blue). The slate finish is great, it is easy to clean and looks nice. Matches my GE stove and microwave.

This was my second GE dishwasher I installed, and it was as easy as could be. Fits perfectly under counter, door opens and closes easily, racks slide in and out easily, holds lots of dishes and comes with a wine glass holder that can be inserted and removed as needed. One continues silverware holder was nice instead of my previous model which had 3 pieces that fit together but rarely stayed together. Dishwasher is quiet when running. 4 different cycles to choose from (1 hour, normal, heavy, autosense) and 2 drying times, the shortest being just over an hour. Also includes Sani and Boost options for increased cleaning options and a delayed start option.

Cleans very well but the quality seems light weight and cheap compared to our last model we purchased. Door and racks seem very light weight and fragile. I wish they still made our previous model and I hope this one also lasts at least 7 years but I'm nervous about how cheaply made it feels.

We bought this dishwasher as a replacement for another GE dishwasher that died. The repairman suggested a GE loyalty site for a discount. We went with this one because it looked like the old one, but the interior is just a bit smaller and is plastic. Installation was complicated because of the third party used, and we had to install it ourselves.

We bought this dishwasher to replace the same model bought 3 years ago that had already died. The only reason we bought it was because it's the only one offered in slate to match my other appliances. The door is plastic and flimsy. The racks are worse. I cannot believe the decrease in the quality of the appliance in 3 short years. Very not pleased.

We bought our house, and the kitchen had been renovated. The appliances were brand new. I already had to call for service because it won't drain. I have cleaned out the filter on a regular basis since I moved in 3 months ago. As far as features: This dishwasher doesn't tell you when you need to add jet dry. The delay cycle is not helpful. If you set the delay cycle and open it to toss something in, then it shuts off and you have to remember to hit start. (My kids never do) I'm guess this is the lowest GE dishwasher on the market, and I'm disappointed that my 10+ year old Bosh had better features, was quiter and I never had drainage issues or had to call for service. Just saying the fridge we had years ago, also broke down after 15months and needed service to replace the thermostat, it broke again less than a year later. If you are looking at other makers, I suggest pass on these GE products.
