Almost 5 months since delivery and hasn't worked right yet. Multiple service calls and waiting on parts. Yesterday's repair again not successful. Lost all confidence in this fridge and want it replaced. Service tech has 3 customers same model same issues. GE must have, and be aware of, bigger problem and are not addressing it yet.

We especially love that we can fit larger items in the fridge and can find everything in the bottom freezer section easily. The icemaker buttons are great. All you need is a very light touch. Our previous fridge had very difficult buttons that had to be pressed exceptionally hard.

GE is a good name brand that's been around forever. This is one reason why we bought this french door refrigerator for our family. Appliance reviews are great, too! Pros and Cons are-- I like the design of the outside/exterior and the ice tray is a nice receiving size. However, the ice maker is very noisy! Can be startling. I miss the back-saving handle for the freezer (bottom drawer) part that I had with my old refrigerator and the handles on the main part of the refrigerator do not work smoothly either. The alarm will tell you if you left the door ajar which it already has. The lighting is nice how it turns on softly when opening- but the lights for water, ice & crushed options are hard to see because the light here is too dim. The drawer space could have been designed better so as not to waste the space with a not-for-nothing gap. And, the left side door trays are very small. Thankfully, the opposite side door is adequate for larger items. We were in hurry to buy a new refrigerator and I wish I would have taken more time to choose the right GE model for us, but having a good working refrigerator is a necessity. So it's a mix of good and could be better. Hopefully, time proves this refrigerator to be a very good buy. It looks great! And, it's working well and that's the most important thing.

We would have loved to have purchased the 36 inch model, but our house was set up for 33 inches. Not many options out there. This one is almost perfect. The label's on the water/ice dispenser are very hard to read, We will need to come up with some good looking creative options for labeling them so we do not meet to explain to others every time we have guests who want ice and water.

My kitchen is too small for a standard 36" refrigerator so this was a good compromise for a french door with water and ice. It's quiet and keeps temperatures nicely, however, there are some big annoyances. The lettering on the front is almost impossible to read, there is basically no adjustability for the shelves (I had to permanently remove a shelf to make room), and the water filter is DRM controlled.

I love when I open the doors I can see everything. The drawers are so convenient and visible that I'm no longer wasting forgotten fruit or vegetables in the bottom drawer. The shelves on the left door are narrow due to the ice maker but I have managed to fill them. And the water/ice on the door is awesome! I am surprised that the freezer is so organized, you really don't have to dig for anything. Well done GE!

I recently (1-month ago) purchased my GE refrigerator. After waiting 6-months for the backorder manufacturing and delivery, after a short 1-month of operation the unit just quit working. First it was the freezer that wouldn't hold temperature which caused ice maker to leak out on to my wooden floor. It was a telling sign of the refrigerator that also stopped cooling. Very sad situation!

It serves it's purpose. The biggest problem I have is the ice maker. It is so LOUD when getting ice out, and it is slow and messy besides. I have had several ice makers over my life and this by far is the worst. I do love all the lighting inside the fridge. The spaces are pretty well organized, and the freezer is fine. But the ICE MAKER is AWFULLY LOUD!

This french door refrigerator is spacious and so far seems to work well. The only dispariaging this is the ice-maker. We did not realize that the icemaker made crescent shaped cubes and would have preferred an icemaker that made much smaller square cubes. As well, the ice dispenser is noisy and sometimes the cubes get caught and will not come out.

Nothing but problem on problem since installation. Noisy, rattling, grinding fans, ran non-stop first 5 days. Then started to get frost inside main fridge as well as frost build-up in freezer. Not willing to accept a "fix" of new parts for a brand new refrigerator, so GE is now delivering a replacement.

However, I only gave it 4 stars because the LH door 'squeaks/rubs' (against the LH door) when it is opened by itself. It is 'left/right' alignment issue, but don't know how to adjust it.

The water dispenser doesn't work. A repairman cam out to fix it 2 weeks after it was installed, it worked for about 2 hours after that and never again. I've only had it for about 1 month and am very disappointed. It was very expensive and I purchased it specifically for the water and ice dispenser.

Fridge & freezer work great. Good looking appliance, nice features. A few small complaints: The labels on the water/ice dispenser are invisible in anything but daylight. In incandescent light, they completely disappear unless you put your face directly in front of them. The settings for water, crushed ice and cubed ice have a small bar light above them - my suggestion would be to light the labels themselves. The ice dispenser - cubed or crushed - is messy. To avoid over spray, a fairly wide container held right up against the dispenser is necessary. The flow of the water is very slow. Line I said - minor annoyances that leave time for improvement. I would still recommend this appliance.

Was disappointed that the control panel on the front of the refrigerator was not back lit. You have to get within inches to see which function you wish to use. It should be a touch panel that lights the functions when you touch the panel. Also I'm sick and tired of getting instruction books that have several different versions of appliance in them. If nothing else there should be a download specific instruction book for your refrigerator. If you prefer to buy 2 litre bottles of drink, be ready to lay them down on one of the shelves as there isn't enough tall space to have many bottles cooling at the same time.

We bought this refrigerator for $2800 and got it installed it was a great refrigerator for a whole two weeks until it broke down the compressor stopped Working Then Circle, Hass to be replaced and some other parts first they said the parts will take two weeks to come in and then a month for the technician to come back and install the parts I called GE they expedited the parts overnight and still had to wait another week for the technician to come out the technician came out and found out that the parts were universal and will not work without additional parts so now the technician is scheduled to come back at a later time so far we have been without a refrigerator for a month and this is totally unacceptable it seems though GE will not replace the refrigerator but only use universal parts to get it back running.

Love the clear new interior. Takes some getting used to lights going from dim to bright when you open the door. Very efficient at making ice. Since it is new technology, it also takes some time getting used to the sounds it makes in coming back up to temp. Wow! The spaciousness and the visibility are amazing!
