    good French door lower pull out freezer

    Disappointed with the handle on the pull-out bottom freezer. Wife is left-handed, and if not careful opening it, the handle slides to the left and comes off. It just slides off to the left and is not fastened with a screw of any type. Consider that poor workmanship or design.

    This replaces a three year old BLACK STAINLESS french door refrigerator that only fault was being black. Have only had this one less than a week, but first impression is disappointing. Very noisy compared to previous. Space is wasted by not allowing for more adjustment of shelves. On the plus side, I really love the looks and hope I will learn to like the interior and ignore the noise.

    The water and ice in the door work well. The interior is very spacious and easy to arrange in different positions. The freezer is larger than we expected. It did make noises for the first several days as was explained in the owners manual but then it quieted down, It's a very acceptable noise level now..

    Our main complaint about this refrigerator is that it is very noisy. The refrigerator we replaced is a 20-year GE side-by-side still running greatly. It was hardly this noisy. We contacted Don's Appliance where we bought it and they checked and said that nothing is wrong. They said that they have heard similar comments about the noise. Also, the temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer sections are too cold. I've increased the temps to the max. We could not anticipate either of these.

    French Door Refrigerator

    We ordered the refrigerator GFE26JGMWW on September 27ty 2021. The white refrigerator was suppose to be in by January, then February. In February Appliance Factory said that they did not know when our white refrigerator would be in. Appliance Factory found an open box with scratches. We can not see the scratches. However, the icemaker does not work. The repairman came out and found that two wires were not colored coded, so he ordered a new door. He has no idea when the door will come in. When you pay as much for a new refrigerator as we did, we expect it to work.

    We ordered the white refrigerator on September 27, 2021. First it was suppose to be in January, then February and then they did not know when it would be in. We ended up taking an Open Box Refrigerator March 1, 2022. The refrigerator would not make ice. The water worked. We called Factory Appliance where we bought the refrigerator. They sent out a repairman. He had to order parts. After the repairman left, we found out not only did the ice maker work, but the water did not work either. Other wise we love the look of the refrigerator.

    The refrigerator is all about space and convenience. Little space is lost from the compact ice maker and the gliding shelf to accommodate large items were two major reasons I chose this model. And it's really pretty!

    Very pleased with this GE French Door refrigerator

    Very happy with our purchase. Spacious, easy access to everything. Perfect lighting. Freezer is also just as roomy. French doors open wide. Storage on the right holds two one gallon milk containers. The one adjustable sliding shelf is great for the short term storage of tall items such as a wine bottle. Fruit and veggie drawers pull out independently. A plus when you open just one door. Touch screen outside left French door is easy to use. Like the fact I can see percentage of available use of water filter. Runs quietly. Efficient ice maker.

    Overall, this is a really nice refrigerator. The available size is incredible. Our old fridge with side by side frig/freezer always seemed to be packed tight. Every time I look in this fridge, there is always alot of space.

    Makes noise

    Bought the GE Fridge in October 2021 was on backorder til January 14, 2022…received on Jan 18, 2022. Delivery guys were nice and took the time to be careful on delivery. Once hooked up it was quite and then about 4 hours later sounded like compressor kicked on and it load rumbling noise. Ice maker is loud when ice dumps and you can hear it filling back up. Got a call in to service so hope they can figure out what is going on. I love the looks and brightness of the inside light. Tons of space but if you have alot of tall bottles then you will have limited space.

    No whistles or bells

    I love the idea it is just a very good refrigerator that works beautifully that I don't have to worry something will break due to poor production of it. I had two other top of line brands that gave me poor service even though they were a lot more expensive than this one. I am happy that this has no bells or whistles.

    This GE refrigerator is a solid choice. It is very spacious and it looks good. The ice dispenser is adequate but noisy. The refrigerator is also a bit noisy at times during its cycle.

    Very happy with my new GE fridge

    We've had our new French door fridge for about three weeks now. Our old fridge died and this particular fridge was a special order return at Home Depot, in stock, the right size and color - white. There's not a lot of choice for in stock appliances right now, so I feel we got lucky. It runs quietly, puts out a decent amount of ice, and is HUGE compared to our 20 year old, freezer on the top fridge. Love the bins in the freezer - allows you to see quickly what is on top, and the storage space below can store two frozen turkeys plus much more. There is a bit of noise when the water line to the freezer runs, but it's over quickly. Very happy we ended up with this fridge!
