Nothing but good things to say about this washer. Our clothes are clean and smell fresh, the vent system on the washer keeps it smelling fresh even when it sits for days. Love all the cycle customization options and the auto dispense tank. I initially thought the internal light was a waste but I've come to love it.

We enjoy the product. However, the only sound alert when the washer completes its task is the chime or sound is much too low or not loud enough at the highest setting. Although, the wifi alerts can make up for the lack of sound. But you are not always near your iPhone or Ipad. However, the smart dispense is a great feature. The filter should have a tube to allow water to drain before opening the filter basket, less of a mess. Also, blue light should be used to kill any bacteria.

I have all GE appliances in my brand new house. I will NEVER buy GE ever again! They gave me a lemon that has had all of its major parts replaced and still waiting on parts to be replaced. It has been unusable for over 30 days and no one cares. I have a large family of kids who do sports and can't do laundry unless I spend $50 a week at the laundromat. THANKS for not helping!

Six weeks in and really liking our new GE washing machine. It's MUCH quieter than our old LG, the spin-soeed is so fast that clothes come out feeling almost dry, and we really like three features: 1) the wide door - easy to load 2) the auto-dispensing detergent, where you dump a bottle into the tank and let the machine take what it needs and 3) the text-alerts that tell you it's done, really handy when I'm working in my basement office.

Won't work on GFI outlet required by code

We got or machine delivered, plugged in our washer, started it, and it tripped as soon as the machine tried to start. We checked the manual and it stressed the machine had to be installed to follow electrical code. To do that we have to plug it into a GFI outlet. The manual said nothing about the machine not running on GFI. We never got it to work, so we called GE for repair. There is a service bulletin on this machine for not running on GFI outlets, and Manny's, where we bought this, never disclosed the problem even after we asked of any known issues. The repair guy was told to remove the board and install a special one. He did that and guess what? It still trips. So, we're running the washer off a heavy duty extension cord, which you're not supposed to do, while we wait for GE to provide the service company with its solution. The machine otherwise works well. The only thing I wish was different was that I could use the prewash without having to prefill a ton of soap in the soap repository, which we don't like to use. The manual also needs to be written better. Instructions do not tell you everything you need to know, like the prewash won't work unless you select the auto-dispenser.

Want to keep it in the box to prevent getting scratched or banged up but since this is 28 inches wide instead of the more common 27 inches, it's going to be close. Other companies seem to list it but can you point me to the online document PDF for these specs.

The main reason I love this washer is that it washes very thoroughly. Even on the quick wash cycle it seems to clean very well. I have tried using different detergents to see if it would effect the outcome and it cleans better with a non environmentally friendly detergent. Also, I find that I have to spray down the microband after a dirty load or the load will not smell well when done. Also, the front filter clean out will give you trouble so learn how before you take it out!!!!!!!! Overall, this washer was a good buy and if you want clean clothes this is the washer for you.

I love all the features on this washer. Things come out very clean. My only problem with this washer is that the door doesn't fit over my laundry basket. If the door was lifted 2 inches it would be perfect. Now I have to set some 2x4s under it so I can get inside and scoop out the laundry.
