Man, got a beautiful machine, but it stopped working. Makes a weird clank noise and then shuts down. Called the customer service, all she says is that she can send a worker out to looked at it for darn near 50% of what I paid for the machine…… yeah, never again. You got me though. I'd much rather have a loyal customer than a little sale, but that's just me

I shopped for my washer and dryer set at Home Depot online. I regret not going to the store to look at it in person, as I didn't realize just how deep the tub is. I stand 5'2.5" and have a short torso and short arms. I'm also disabled with spinal issues and neuropathy. Needless to say, I have to use grabbers to remove my clothes from the washer because I can't bend that far to reach the clothes at the bottom of the tub. This is a terrible design for short people. As soon as I realized the issue I have, and before I used the machine, I called both Home Depot and GE and stopped short of begging to exchange the set for a front loader set, but they refused and would not consider the circumstances involved. As far as performance, my clothes come clean, but even with a small load, and all three loads that I've done so far, there seems to be a problem with balancing and a vibration on the spin cycle.

We especially like the versatility that the numerous wash/rinse settings provide as well as how quiet it is. The quality seems better than the 2 year old Maytag washer we replaced because the plastic on the lid broke/cracked.

After having a front loader for over 30 years it will take some getting used to the noise, but it does not twist the clothes like the other machine did. I've only had it for two days, but I can see that my clothes are coming out nice and clean. It holds as much, or more than my front loader did. Now if only it will last as long! I cannot seem to get it right in adding the extra water yet.

I thought, maybe too much load versus my own home unit from another manufacturer, but no; I half loaded and still does the same violent jumping around. Called for service and told they could get to me in two weeks (?) WOW, not very impressed at all and don't believe I would purchase another GE washer

Might be a great machine but right now I'm ready to kick it to the curb! The drain hose is a piece junk! It is cheap plastic, not flexible and has caused water to back up over our slop sink. Very disappointed in GE for the quality of the drain hose.

The cleaning results of this product is adequate. The issue we have is how loud and the amount of noise the machine makes during the washing process. Even in a room with closed doors it is extremely loud.

There is no dispenser for detergent or softener, so you have to add it directly to the load. The detergent doesn't get the chance to properly dissolve, and then settles on the clothes because there really isn't much water being used (even when using the deep fill setting. Once the machine's turned on, it locks the door. Without clothes, the tub will not fill up with water. So there's just no good way to dissolve the detergent in the water and avoid getting clumps on clothing. I find that really very annoying, and it makes it appear like the clothes really aren't getting cleaned.
