Had this washer a bit over 1 year. It makes loud rattling sounds during the spin cycle. It goes into "balancing" mode even when it's spinning with absolutely no vibration and refills 3 or 4 times each load.

I have had this appliance only a few weeks so I cannot give a thorough rating. So far, it works well. One thing to be aware of is that except for the smallest loads, you should always press "Deep Fill", If you do not, some of the clothes are likely to remain above the water line for the entire wash cycle. I sometimes press deep fill several times to ensure that all the clothes are wet.

I love my washer. It has so many features and it really gets all the water out when it spins which has helped with drying time for me. Only complaint i have is that you really have to get the clothes in the barrel evenly or else it has trouble spinning.

I purchase this product and the drain and spin cycle has not been working properly if the spin cycle is on Max it does not drain the water out laundry is soaking wet when cycle is complete and the washing machine moves from its current location to the other side of the room because of the power of the spend makes the washing machine move Not happy with this product I would not recommend it I've only had it 6 months I purchased this washing machine completely brand new

This appliance was easy to install and simple to use right out of the box. Cycle controls offer many options. The washer has a large family sized capacity. When running a cycle, it makes a little more noise than expected at this price point. The digital display with estimated run time is nice. There are features on this washer that are usually found on more expensive machines.

We have pets and my husband is an industrial electrician so our laundry is dirty and needs it sit in water to get clean. Thankfully this washer rigs the odds ever in your favor. Okay, I know what you're thinking this lady is lame and crazy but hear me out. The GTW685BSLWS has 14 different cycles to customize and pre-set to LITERALLY get out your laundry's worst nightmare stains.(blood,dirt,wine,) This full-size washer is easy on energy, who doesn't like a healthier energy bill? The only drawback to this washer is the noise but if you have a dedicated room for your washer and dryer it's nada problem. The stainless steel drum is huge, I mean HUGE (see my pictures) for the adorable price and results, I dare you to find another washer beat this one. It's not the BEST BEST GE has to offer but again you are not going to find a better budget washer for your family. This is coming from a family of 5. Thank you GE for making such an efficient, affordable, and all around solid washing machine that will last my family years!!

Worked fine for 23 months then the control panel went nuts. I tried to unplug to reset it multiple times for varying lengths of time. The machine still does not work. It is so frustrating to spend hundreds of dollars for an appliance for it to last less than 2 years when most people would expect it to last at least 8-10. This washing machine was used by a single person not even a family.
