Purchased quantity 2 - GE GVS04BDWSS for my new wet bar 14 months ago. The first beverage center failed a week ago. Before I could contact an appliance repair shop and approximately 8 days later the second beverage center failed. Both systems run they just can't cool below 52 degrees (set for 41). They were both installed the same time. Compressor runs but extremely hot. Fan runs, light works just doesn't cool.

We updated all the appliances in our home and chose this small beverage fridge based on recommendations from the salesman from Home Depot. They did not have a floor model and our main requirement was based on fitting in the existing spot and black. We had a preference for GE since previous unit was one. This unit is super loud. Loud enough for it to be heard in every room, of our house. Our home is pretty big and it can still be heard everywhere. During the day it is not as noticeable due to other things going on but is very noticeable at night. Turns out that is normal for this model. We were also told the shelves were adjustable. They are not. That is our fault for not verifying before purchasing but was definitely disappointing to learn. You can remove the shelves but they are set at fixed heights and no other slots are available to change shelf size.

Installation was quick and easy. It looks great mounted. It was a little bit noisy when running but the main issue was within 13 months, it stopped cooling. I only used it for wine chilling so temp was set at 58 degrees and not pushing too much the compressor. After calling GE support, I was disappointed to hear it had just been out of the warranty preiod and for a repairman to show up I had to pay $120. I would have expected more from a GE appliance, one of the main reasons why I decided to buy this wine fridge.

This wine refrigerator has stopped working within a year of purchase. Previously it performed well. Currently it is at 70 degrees F which is remarkable considering the ambient temperature is 64 degrees. I followed owner's manual to reset, unplugged, all to no avail.

Bought this for our new kitchen and it stopped working just after the one year warranty ended…of course. GE will only charge for repair starting at $109.95. Ive seen quite a few other reviews with the same issue so I'm frustrated that GE won't stand behind there product, especially since it's rather new for an appliance I had custom fitted into my kitchen cabinet remodel.

We love this beverage fridge but can't get the temperature to go below 45 degrees. We understood when we purchased it that it would not be as cold as a typical refrigerator but could get as low as 40 degrees. That has not been the case for us. I will call GE for support.

Had to replace an old GE profile wine cooler and this one fits perfect. It has enough space for beers and with the shelves can be adjusted to handle larger bottles. Works well and definitely happy with our new beer fridge.

Love the size of the frig. Compact and holds many wine bottles, and any type of beverages your have. The wood shelves are a nice touch too. The only issues is that when the frig arrived it had a dent on the front door, so I called GE and they are sending a service rep to take a look.

Today was the second attempt to delivery our beverage refrigerator that had stopped cooling just after 9 months. The unit came locked (with no key), dent on the corner of the door, door not aligned with the frame and scratched on the side. We have been working with the customer care department through these issues and still this is the type or low quality product and service we receive.

Installed this beverage refrigerator in March 2021 with an entire suite of GE café appliances. After nine months this item just randomly stopped working. After a service call it was deemed unrepairable and a replacement to be made. We also had a problem with the Cafe electric range which took several months and a total of 5 range deliveries to get one that worked. Today our replacement beverage refrigerator was attempted and it was damaged when it was delivered into the kitchen. I'm beginning to feel very sorry we chose GE appliances for our newly remodeled kitchen. They have not proved to be lasting quality.

For the value, I do not think there is a better option on the market. My only wish would be a way to link the light to the door opening instead of it being a manual turn on. Beyond that, love the aesthetic, and it works great. Would purchase again.

We had an unusual size space for a refrigerator. 24 inches is the typical and the next lowest one was 15 inches.This 20 inch under counter built-in was perfect for our situation. Seems to be cooling very well, and provided much needed space for our main fridge. I would change it to be able to cool below 41, like 38 would be ideal, but I'm not seeing a big diffeeence in the way my beer tastes.

The first one delivered had to be returned because the Door handle was bent and it dented the door...poor packaging and poor design probably caused it during shipping. The second one delivered had a door handle was slightly off, but we accepted it since we needed it to finish our kitchen renovation.

We purchased this beverage center in September 2019 and by April 2021, it was completely shot. It would no longer cool at all. We never left the door open or overloaded it. It was always hooked up to a surge protector on a proper ground-fault outlet. PIECE OF GARBAGE for how expensive it is, and of course, it only has a 1-year warranty.

The function of the unit is fine. I can now free up space in my ordinary fridge. It is the casing I have an issue with. Feet are not individually adjustable. My home is 130 years old and floors are uneven. We have built up floor on one side but can't get back level. Unit rocks when opening door. Design really eeds each corner with adjustable feet to level .

I wish I'd kept a closer eye on this, but in the winter we noticed it never seemed cool, now that it's spring, it's clearly stopped cooling completely (despite running). Now it's just past the one year date, so we are out $700. I have read it costs over $600 to repair.

I love the look of this beverage fridge. It fits perfectly into the styling of our wet bar. The wooden shelves add a level of quality that is not seen in any fridges at this price point. It is quiet. Unfortunately, this fridge struggles to maintain its lowest 41* temp, even being set at 41* it maintains a 42/43* F temperature. The shelves, while beautiful, are not adjustable, only removable. and their hights do not fit standardized beverage hights like cans and bottles.
