    Bought this is Oct of 2021 after doing tons of research, but I'm so disappointed in this appliance! Temp keeps going over 40 or even 50 degrees for no apparent reason, even though the fridge is set at 35. Seems like it just shuts off and then restarts and cools again, but now I'm always worrying that food will spoil. The 10 year old fridge that this replaced was way more reliable. Hopefully warranty will cover and fix whatever is wrong, but I wouldn't have expected to have to call for service in less than a year.

    The counter dept fridge fits perfectly in the kitchen space. It has all of the features wanted in a fridge. There was not a store display when I selected the fridge. I was shopping for for a black counter dept. I was expected a darker black fridge ; however, the color was a matte finish which I like even better.

    Love the Looks, But Already Quit Working

    Small usable space for it's size, mediocre perform

    This is our 3rd GE bottom freezer 2 door unit. It's the first to disappoint. the interior fridge space is small because of the ice maker and interior depth. We have only one side door with usable bins. The unit is also not cooling properly, reaching only 39 degrees F in the fridge with all settings at max cold. We're having milk spoil early. I'm going to have to request warrante service for the first time ever with a GE appliance.

    Runs VERY Loud

    We were excited to replace our old refrigerator. However this one runs extremely loud. It hums so loudly constantly that we can hear it if we are in a room down the hall across the house. It looks nice from the outside but the sound is extremely obnoxious. Our almost 13 year old fridge never sounded like that.

    New Refrigerator

    The refrigerator fits very nicely with our décor. It seems very spacious and works well. However, I gave it 4 stars because the protection film is almost impossible to remove from the seams. We have used tweezers and still have been unable to remove all of it. It was suggested to use a razor blade, but seems to be poor advise for a black refrigerator. Also, the water dispenser drips with every use, even when we leave the glass there for additional time. It drips again when opening the refrigerator or freezer door when you haven't dispensed water.

    Love this Refrigerator!

    I replaced my 14-year old refrigerator with this one. It was essentially the same refrigerator, just the 14 year earlier version of it. The redesign of the in-door icemaker is huge from an available storage capacity pint of view. I think my 14 year old model was slightly larger inside (deeper) but actually had less usable shelf space because of the old design of the icemaker. I love this one even though the deli drawer and freezer section isn't as deep/large. It's a good product and would highly recommend it to anyone! I have the black slate finish and it looks awesome, plus it doesn't collect fingerprints or marks.

    I recently purchased a home with a 25-year-old refrigerator that finally stopped working. I needed a replacement refrigerator fast, and my local appliance shop had exactly the refrigerator I had in mind, right on the showroom floor. This is a really great-looking appliance and is quite spacious inside for being a counter-depth refrigerator. I love the matte black finish and it's fingerprint resistant, too. I'm planning on purchasing the entire suite to match.

    Door bins too small.

    Freezer bin on top doesn't stay open so you can't drop anything into the bottom compartment. Counter depth means sacrificing space so the door bins on the left hold nothing. Even a sample jelly jar is too large. Nice finish: Black Slate. Too small for a family but ok for two people. This was the only one I could get right now. I like GE overall but wanted a larger size refrigerator.

    Our new refrigerator exceeds our expectations. Counter depth, check. In door ice make, check. French doors, check. color, Matt black, check. If I had to make one change/suggestion, I would prefer to have 2 meat/chill trays (similar to the 2 veggie trays) at the bottom of the frig instead of a single long one across the bottom. That way I wouldn't always have to open both doors to get at the meat/cheese.

    Size is right for our needs

    Our new fridge arrived with a nick in water line to the ice maker that required that we immediately turn it off and request repair to prevent further leaks. The GE repair man said our unit was made on Friday afternoon at 5pm (lol). While I would have preferred to have a fully-functioning unit delivered, I have no real fault with the level of service and efficient warranty repair. Our only other comment is that the water isn't cold like our last refrigerator, so we really do need the ice for chilled water. Our previous (different brand) refrigerator delivered chilled water so this is an adjustment. We're a family of 3 so the capacity is fine for our needs.

    Purchased this in October of 2021 to replace a (working) KitchenAid side-by-side. Delivery was on time, installation was smooth, and now it's just getting used to the new layout of the interior. Only issue is that the installation crew could not get the water dispenser to work -which means no chilled water, and no ice cubes. And, it'll take a little over two weeks to get a service technician in to diagnose. So, from Day 1, we are not off to the best start.

    The fridge is a nice color and size, but the sounds that come from it are annoying. It is noisy when it runs and esp when it's making ice. If you can get used to it then it'll be an ok fridge

    It is a beautiful refrigerator! The interior freezer door has little shelves that really do not hold much of anything since they are very small in depth due to the ice maker and interior shelving. I wish it had a separate refrigerated drawer in between the french doubles and the bottom freezer. That is what I really wanted but I guess GE has not manufactured one yet or may not even plan to.

    Not a good value, not a good refrigerator

    This is getting returned. $3200 for a refrigerator is overpriced, and the cost for a counter depth refrigerator with limited room is insane. It doesn't hold temperatures in the refrigerator; two calibrated thermometers, one on the top shelf and the other on the bottom shelf, show this can't hold to its set temperature of 34 degrees. It usually hovers around 37 to 38 degrees, which is not good when set to 34. The fridge looks nice, but it's a poor refrigerator. I wouldn't buy a French door refrigerator again.

    I love the Slate color and the design of the interior. The shelving is heavy grade lexan. The lighting is perfect. It is very quiet.

    Great refrigerator!

    We needed a counter depth refrigerator in black and wanted the French door style. This has everything we wanted. The design is great and easy to organize refrigerated items and freezer items.

    I like our new GE fridge but it's a bit smaller than our previous one. The fridge part is fine but the drawers have less room. We had a hard time ordering this due to Covid and production being down so we couldn't get exactly what we wanted (25 in. instead of 22 in.) the freezer part is definitely smaller so I'm still getting use to it.

    Nice looking refrigerator/freezer! It arrived today and I am impressed with storage space and lighting. I can see EVERYTHING! Once plugged in it started freezing and cooling immediately. It was also already set with the door alarms as they went off as I was loading everything in. I like this feature as I feel secure knowing if left open I will be reminded to close tightly.

    The refrigerator works well and fits into our space(counter depth) but when you pull out the freezer the whole refrigerator rolls out! The installers thought it would be fine after we loaded it but NO! You would have to hold the appliance with one hand while pulling out the freezer drawer. I went to Home Depot and they gave me the info to: file a complaint with GE or file on our warranty! You need to fix this! We finally went to the hardware store and bought DOOR STOPS to insert under it. Yes, that did work. Nice to be able to roll it out when needed, but this is a design flaw. Otherwise nice appliance!

    I wrote a review on this fridge shortly after we got it, and it was mostly good. It is now less than a year later and we wish nothing more than to be able to go back and have never purchased it. Worked well for 5-6 months, then food in the fridge started freezing, and eventually everything was frozen. After more than two months of waiting on service and parts and service again, it was repaired and working well. 2 months later, the food in the freezer was thawing. While waiting for service with that issue, the fridge has now started freezing food again. I am 3 weeks into a 5 week wait for service. I just threw out half the items in the fridge because they were frozen and ruined (fruits/veggies). I called customer relations and of course "due to COVID" they are too busy to answer calls right now. MAJOR REGRETS in this purchase.
