    Nice over the range microwave

    Our 1.6 cu ft over the counter microwave is nice looking and just the right size. It has a large glass interior plate, so nothing lost over the bigger models. My only complaints are the oven light button is hard to find when you really need to find it, and the door doesn't match up exactly straight with the control panel edges. It's noticeable to me.

    Cooks Well but......

    This microwave cooks well, but the door is very clunky. Also, my one month old oven required a repair due to a vent which was not properly sealed. Thankfully, the warranty was good. I would not purchase this again. A man came out and assured me there was no such thing as a vent seal. I am hoping that is true.

    Noisy but works for now

    Everything about this unit is noisy. The door is loud when you open and close it. It vents automatically when the microwave is in use. The vent itself is loud, even on low. Furthermore, I am unhappy with prior reliability. The builder had a builder GE model that died a bit after 1 year. As a previous GE customer, we bought another that was just 2 years old when it broke too. We bought the same one figuring the bolt pattern for installation would be the same, but it's not. The up side is that it's easy to use.

    I have Model JVM1631BB007 and while it runs it no longer heats. Is Model JVM3160RFSS a good replacement? Can I use the same rear wall mounting plate that is already in place with this new unit? It vents to the interior.

    Button placement illogical / hard to read

    The placement of often-used buttons light, add 30, timer) are illogically placed, whereas POPCORN, BEVERAGE, POTATO are huge! Why? The font size and pale color makes it impossible to read because the plastic touchpad is not flat so there's significant glare. Fingerprints, waterspots all show up and difficult to clean without residue and marks. Prefer buttons on my GE micro from 2004.

    Good quality product for the money. The only issue is that the popcorn setting doesn't allow the microwave to run long enough to pop the whole bag. Need to add an additional 20-30 seconds to fully complete the popping.

    Just bought it!

    This unit was just installed. It replaces a similar model GE JVM1950, which I bought in 2013 and went bad after almost 10 years of good service. The cost of repairing it exceeded the cost of a buying a new one. I am hoping to get at least another good 10 years from the new one.

    Looks good with a lot of features at this price point. I like that you can turn the turntable off for larger dishes. The vent fan does a really good job of venting smells and heat outside. All the front panels and the door lined up properly. I bought this on sale at Lowe's for $249.

    Great Microwave at Right Price

    I bought this microwave to replace one that went bad after only 2 years. To my surprise it fit exactly in the same location with the same mounting plate and holes as my previous microwave even though it was a different brand. It started up right away, works great, easy to use and has just enough features for our household.

    Replaced old one and disappointed

    I'm disappointed in this purchase. I had a GE microwave that came with my house when I purchased my home 11 years ago that died. I replaced it with this one as all others were a long wait period to receive and install and it was on sale. I thought I wouldn't mind giving up a few options if I could have it installed sooner, but that was my mistake. My old microwave had sensor cooking and was a bit larger. I knew this one was not, however I didn't realize how high the rotating dish sat up from the bottom of the microwave. My last one was recessed into the bottom so it sat flush with the floor of the microwave. I am constantly hitting the dish when I put things in. The door is also very clunky and loud when you close it. The buttons are also in a strange location compared to my last one. If it weren't for the fact that all other microwaves had a 1-2 month wait I would have had Best Buy take it back. Next time I'll wait the extra time to get a better model. It's not a bad microwave but do your research if you are replacing a higher grade version so you are not disappointed.

    We purchased this as the one we had died. The one that died was the exact same product, just a different color. Very east to install (for 2 people who didnt know what they were doing). I just hope this one lasts longer than the last one, which was 7 years.
