It is very difficult to read the control panel. It is too dark. Always need to turn on a light to operate the microwave and even then, it is hard to find the correct settings.

I ordered this microwave at the beginning of June 2021 and it was delivered in August 2021, It only worked for 6 months and then stopped heating. I tried to schedule service appointment and was called after 1 week. So no service for this model and I need to email the tag for serial and model and receipt to get some certificate to buy another one. I sent the email and there was no response for 4 days. I tried to call and only connected to voice mail. Not sure when I could get a new microwave.

I went from a small Hamilton Beach to this monster and I love it. We've only been using it a few weeks but so far so good. I did notice I had to use less time, compared to our previous HB, on a couple of items I cook regularly but nothing to worry about.

This is the second GE Microwave we've owned. The first one lasted over 12 years, with constant use. The potato button cooks perfect baked potatoes, and we love the defrost cycle. Hopefully this unit will last another 12 years.

The microwave has only been in service a couple weeks, but pleased so far. Features that stood out include large turntable, ability to silence the beep, butter soften mode, and quick start modes. Is pretty quiet. Would be nice if the lighting was a bit brighter especially given the dark interior finish, but that doesn't seem to be unsual.

We ordered our product from Lowe's. After a 3 month delay. it was finally installed. Materials and construction were much cheaper than the GE Profile Microwave we replaced. Plastic replaced metal in some components, sound when opening and closing the door is not "Firm" or "Substantial." Door release is not as clean as before. Even the inside is dark and gloomy (dark interior with dim lighting) compared to the unit we replaced (white interior with bright lighting). After such a wait, it was disappointing.

We just bought this from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kansas. Had it installed and the door doesn't open. You hit the button 4-5 times before it will open. When we called GE because Nebraska furniture Mart has no Customer service. We find out that this model has been recalled although we bought it a week ago! How wrong is this. We would like some help. !!

Replacing old one of same model which died of old age. Love new one except for the grey interior. White would be much better because the interior would be lighter. Hard to see what is cooking in this one, also splattered food cannot be seen. Suggest making future ones white inside.

We bought this as a replacement for our old GE Profile microwave. This one fit nearly perfectly into our cutout.
This microwave is easy to use and easy to clean. But you need to be careful cleaning near the light bulb. My microwave's bulb got hit with a small mist of water and it went out as soon as I re-opened the door.

I replaced a 2005 GE model microwave that was installed in an over the wall oven cutout. I was extremely limited in choice due to microwave dimensions. The replacement model is slightly deeper, which did not pose a problem. The height and width were the determining factors. I did have to use my existing frame, as the only frames available for the new model would not cover the cutout space. The existing metal frame had to be slightly trimmed. Although the wattage of the new model is exactly the same as the old model, I find that I need to add a little cooking time. My only complaint about the new model is that the interior light is very dim. The grey interior surface makes the food harder to see, and the interior light is of little help.

Most of our GE appliances are the Profile line. I was surprised that the Profile line doesn't have the invertor power levels (still uses the older on/off cycling) while the lower models do. 2.2cuft was the main option we required as we don't use the oven as much as we used to when the kids were at home. I would relocate some of the buttons, but I guess that's personal. Unit works well and is quieter than our old model. Hope it lasts as long as our previous model, 18 yrs.

The control panel is not lighted so it is difficult to use the microwave without room light. Also, it is only 3 moths of usage and the buttons are getting scratch. I think it is soft plastic cover vs. hard cover.

The microwave oven is big and very powerful. It heats up the food in half the time of my previous over the range microwave (from GE). The heating is fairly even with fewer cold spots. The reason for 4 stars is because it does NOT come with a trim kit.

This is my third microwave for fitting into a built in cabinet so I seek the same dimensions , each new version replacement is a slightly different dimension, this one requires a half inch wider opening than the specs say . Also each successive replacement model may have the same features but the build and feel gets cheaper each time.
