    I am on a first name basis with my GE repairman. Repair of my refrigerator is just the latest of several repairs of my GE appliances, a fan quit working and everything in the fridge and freezer thawed out. Our dishwasher seems to be the repairman's favorite.

    Lots of service visits needed

    Waiting for Ice 6/18/2022

    Nine months old and we have had this refrigerator serviced four times for an electrical issue which finally got the dispenser and lights working again but the light still doesn't come on all the time. Now there is some issue with the water filter where large amounts of charcoal are spewed into our drinking water such that it is dark gray. Getting ready for the third service call for that issue and have been without water or ice for the past month. The style of the fridge is okay but the autofill does not work properly - it randomly fills or overflows any container - a measured fill would be a better feature. The small vegetable drawer on the right does not open unless both doors are open. The stainless steel handles fingerprint very easily and the paddle for the water and ice dispenser gets water spots and is now unsightly scratched from gentle use.

    Freezer Doesn't Work

    Brand new and the freezer does not work. Service was called and freezer still does not work. We are very disappointed with this purchase, especially given the amount of money we spent on it. On a positive note, this is a beautiful appliance and has more space than expected.

    GE Profiles are my preferred refrigerator however, the GE quality on my new Profile is terrible. Doors were terribly out of alignment and the front panel controller is faulty and inoperable for "auto-fill". I expected more from GE!

    If I could give it a -10 I would! We had the refrigerator for 2 weeks and it has not worked AT ALL since the moment they plugged it in! It never got cold and we had to throw away all our food. We are living out of a dorm frig. They can not tell me when the new one will be in and will not give me a temp until the Frig comes in. I would think twice about buying this Frig and make sure it works before they leave.

    I replaced a previous GE Profile unit after it died. I got this which appears to be the updated version. I love the space and lighting in the fridge. I wish the top drawer in the freezer was split like the original model. I couldn't give this five stars because the LCD pad/controls are not back lit... I can't see where to push for what. I literally attached a pen light with a magnet. GE, you can do better than that, even if there was a button or control for backlighting! I do miss the option for crushed ice. (I got the autofill model.) My previous one had crushed, cubed, autofill and precise fill. It also showed ounces as you filled. I will miss those features. I hope this lasts more than the 8 years my previous one lasted. Love the look and the finish and that I can use magnets on the front (which I will have to so that I can display the control panel layout for my husband).

    When the fridge runs it is loud enough to hear. Doors don't shut unless somewhat slammed. Bottom large slide tray of fridge makes it so you have to open both doors to access. Ice maker is small, two to three people can empty it pretty quick. Can see hand prints or marks fairly easy on doors and handles. Otherwise I like the space of the fridge is really nice.

    After the Fridg being plugged in for 2 week, and working like a champ; it died completely overnight on March 2. As of today, March 16 we still have no fridge, freezer, ice, anything, and we end up calling GE repair every few days for an update - they never phone us! Duplicate and triplicate of repair parts have been sent to our home overnight, but yet the fridge still sits there in our new kitchen, dead as a door-nail. I keep asking for a new fridge, and they respond by saying parts are on order, OR a repair company will phone you, but yet that does not happen. No company should ever treat customers in this fashion.

    Condenser Failed in First and Replacement

    First one installed October 2021, condenser failed early February 2022. GE would have had us waiting until early April for repair. Fortunately local appliance dealer, who expedited visit from GE service technician (excellent person!), found replacement refrigerator in GE system, and had it delivered 2/18/22. Today 3/13/22, replacement started repeatedly making same buzzing noise for about 5 seconds followed by click, same as first one, and is no longer cooling refrigerator or freezer compartments. This is beyond poor!!!

    Hello, when my 15-year old side-by-side refrigerator was having issues, I was in the market for a new one. I always loved the french door concept so I went to an appliance store to check them out. There were many options but this GE model had really great reviews. This really is a wonderful refrigerator and can fit so much. I was a bit hesitant on the freezer concept in a french door but I just love it!     Third major GE product to quit working

    We purchased GE appliances when we built our new house. So far our dishwasher, double oven and now the refrigerator has quit working 3 years after purchase. When the dishwasher quit working the certified GE repairman told us that it was so common on that model that he always carried a couple of control boards in his van. I will never purchase another GE appliance. In fact, it makes me have second thoughts about flying on an airliner with GE engines.

    Lots of problems

    I have had this fridge for 4 years. So far, I have replaced the fan motor, the digital control board for the deli drawer, the blend door and the control pad on the front / water dispenser. The quality of GE product has apparently gone down hill for many years. Everyone wants all these fancy nonsense features. Well they break quickly and the warranty is not long enough. Now, I have a humming / clicking noise coming from 1 of the fans, again. I cant afford to throw away 3300.00 dollars every 4 or 5 years for a new fridge. GE needs to fix their products so they last longer or warranty their products for 10 years.

    Dispensing panel does not light up

    The dispensing panel is too dark. The panel does not light up. The printing is not light enough to read and the panel has no light. You cannot see the options very easily with lights on and not at all in the dark. Anyone with impaired vision will have difficulty.

    With my new kitchen remodel I elected to put in GE Profile appliances in the color slate. I wanted them to be different from stainless steel although stainless is still a beautiful product. I'm very pleased with not only the choice of color, but all the features these high end appliances have. I know that when people look at buying a house, first it's location, but then it's the kitchen and owner's suite that can make all the difference.

    I am disappointed that my brand new refrigerator sounds like an airplane landing several times a day! I went with the slate finish and it cleans up easy, and so far it is holding appropriate temperatures , but barely in the fridge

    It is a great refrigerator, with a lot of space! The only downside to it it the outside ice maker! When it is spitting out the ice, the ice seems to go everywhere, but not all of the time does it do it!

    This is my first french door bottom freezer fridge. I used to have a side-by-side but never had enough room. I am still trying to figure out how to organize the fridge and freezer but love having more space. The ice cube maker holds less than normal cubes, but it's a price I am willing to pay to get more shelf space since it is in the door. We love the water filter location and size. The water takes great and is very cold when dispensed.

    Purchased this refrigerator because previous fridge needed two new parts which we couldn't get for six or more weeks thanks to supply chain break down. Loved the GE model we had and this one had almost all the same features so we decided to just get a new fridge. There are just two negatives about this model--it has no second bottom drawer ice maker and while it does have AutoFill, it doesn't have manual fill. Little inconveniences I can certainly live without. Overall, fabulous amount of interior space --which is the most important feature--and good looking finish. Love the "no fingerprints". Very, very happy with purchase.

    LOVE THE FRIG - BUT THE SEALS ARE ALL BAD, THE PLASTIC IS STUCK UNDER THE SEAL WHICH LOOKS HORRIBLE AND THE SEAL IN THE FREZZER IS CUT. SO WE HAVE TO HAVE THEM COME OUT AND PUT NEW SEALS ON THE NEW FRIG/ FREEZER. THEY WILL DO IT BUT, THIS IS A HUGE INCONVIENCE AND IRRITATION. REALLY BAD QUALITY CONTROL.
