    Stylish and functional, this is by far the best microwave I have purchased. The Chef connect feature is my new standard for kitchen appliances. This feature automatically turns on the vent and light when a burner on the stove is activated. Chalked full of features (no softening feature) this microwave is capable of handling the majority of your cooking needs.

    Looks amazing with the matching range. Fan blows to strong (recycle model, no vent) makes the range flames blow around. The install was done by supplier so not 100% sure if done correctly. It has BLUETOOTH so the range and the microwave have the same time and the microwave light and fan turn on when the range is on.     Works extremely well - plenty of power. Cooking area is deceptive as front door makes it look extremely large but when you open the door, the right side is the electronics enclosure - the glass on the door is much larger than the cooking area. If you are short, you will have problems viewing the food as it is cooking since the bottom part of the glass is solid black and you have to look over it to see inside while cooking is in progress.

    Bought this about 4 years ago when I moved into my new home. It was working great, but then after about 2 year it began to turn off and not want to turn back on.     It's DEAD!!! after 2yrs of not even heavy use. We paid a nice amount for this to profile unit to go with our kitchen remodel. And I must say I'm not happy with this company, I'm about to sell off the rest of appliances which are profiles as well. Just thought it would last as long if not longer than the stupid magic chef we had and that lasted 12yrs!! stay away from this unit. we even had to wait 3 months to get it due to pandemic and now its just DEAD!!     Basic Features but Does the Job

    I love the look of this appliance. Features could be improved. The touch pad buttons are difficult to push unless you push in a particular area of the button - so, not user friendly. I also would have loved for the microwave to have been fingerprint resistant, as the panel has to be wiped down after each use. I would recommend this appliance with those caveats.

    Had problems with two,

    I like the look and functionality of this microwave but I had problems with two. The first one I purchased had a problem with the fan speed..it was stuck on boost. It was replaced with another yesterday but this one had the incorrect size turntable. Yep, that's right. The factory packed a turntable for another model in the box. The factory rep is supposed to be sending me the correct one. Hopefully it will arrive soon. What a pain. Beyond that, I love the look and functionality of this microwave. I bought it specifically for the chef connect function. Can't wait to get it set up so I can use all of the features.

    PVM9005SJ8SS could not be any more disappointed

    GE model # PVM9005SJ8SS could not be any more disappointed with any aspect of it. I was replacing the same model that was installed Jan 2019 that was purchased in 4 piece set. I ordered it for 2 reasons. First being the same model # it should be a quick install with same brackets and to keep the matching appearance. So this microwave had the identical model # of the one purchase in 2019. It was not the same mounting, was not even similar to the previous one. Wattage was lower, did not have the charcoal filter, Interior was build cheaper and the one in 2019. The original was $329.00 with no discounts, Its replacement was $599.00 including $50.00 off. That is $270.00 increase for a less quality in 3 1/2 years. Now for the performance of the new microwave. Because of the lower wattage and the change to the inside design it is slower and not consistent heat. I original purchased the 4 appliances for quality and the profile line was not sold as bottom end products. The rest of the story on the original 2019 purchase. The microwave was 1 1/2 years old when a temp switch went out. A little over 3 years the magnetron went out causing the microwave not to be repairable. Roughly 1 3/4 years the fan bearings on the convection oven started making noise. 2 1/2 years the quick ice fan bearing went out on the freezer. Lastly the 900.00 dishwasher has never from day 1 has dried the dishes, they all need to be to be towel dried before putting away

    Disappointed with Microwave purchase

    I am so disappointed with this microwave purchase…model # PVM9005SJ8SS. It is very hard to activate the touch feature. I've resorted to a stylus because pressing with my fingers will not activate a function. Secondly the light in the unit when it is heating food is so dim, I can barely see what's in the oven. My old microwave has such fabulous lighting and was sensitive to my touch, so it operated very easily and quickly. My third disappointment is that this microwave was mounted above one of your ovens….model JS760SP4SS (which I also purchased) at Home Depot and therefore I thought they were a pair. The oven directions say some features such as the clock can be linked between the two products so that when that feature is set on one product you need not set it again on the second…i.e. if you have a power failure and reset the time on the oven it will automatically also reset the time on the microwave. After calling your customer service #, I learned they are not a matched set and so are not compatible. I would love to be able to exchange this microwave for the one which is actually paired to my oven but Home Depot's policy is that once it has been installed you cannot return it. Lastly, I would never again purchase a microwave with a dark interior. The sales person said the dark interior wouldn't show food bits which splatter. Well, light or dark interior these food bit are grime which I want removed and it is much easier to clean a white interior. Please advise if there is any possibility of rectifying this situation so that I can have a different microwave…..without my having to purchase a new one of course. Thank you
