Worst dryer I have ever owned!

If I could take this dryer back and get 1/4 of what I paid, I would! Clothes, sheets and even towels become so tangled into the tightest knots you could ever imagine. A tiny corner of something will get hung on the corner of the lint tray. After disassembling the lint tray collector, we discovered a terrible design flaw that slows all the lint to collect at the base of the dryer, preventing the tray from going back in completely. This is a huge fire hazard! We purchased this dryer due to the reputation of the Electrolux brand. I am incredibly disappointed and cannot wish to purchase a new dryer.

The items gather in window of the dryer over the air filter area. I was drying about 50 thin all cotton hand towels. I would stop the unit, open the door, move the hand towels back into the center or rear of the unit,.....and within two minutes, there they are back in the window over the air return. How is this not a safety hazard??? Plus they are not drying efficiently. I personally think it is a combination of the air filter return area AND the domed window causing the items to migrate. Domed window should have been paired with two separate air filter return areas, each on either side of the open rather than at the bottom.

Right after we purchased this NEW dryer it started coming on all by itself. Before we could get this problem addressed the drum would not turn. We contacted Electrolux and they sent a repair man. He recommended a new motor. We called Electrolux several times to stress how dissatisfied we are. Even if they get the drum problem resolved, I am not comfortable not being able to trust it won™™t turn itself on, definitely a fire hazard, so I will have to unplug after every use. This is utterly crazy. We paid for a new dryer, not one that is going to be fixed or refurbished. We have requested a new dryer numerous times and Electrolux has ignored our request. When I told them my safety concerns they said it is safe since it is unplugged. I guess they don™™t realize it is worthless unplugged. I want to stress this was a brand new dryer when problems started. We had only owned it one week.

This dryer works as stated. We have only a few minor issues with it but otherwise it gets the clothes dry and has plenty of exhaust air to keep down the amount of dust until the end of the pipe.It's a bit low so I recommend a stand under it of some sort. We built our own so the laundry basket fits under the door. Also, the auto with eco doesn't seem to get the clothes as dry so we have to bypass the eco mode. Would be nice if we could set our own time instead of the couple default values.

Inside the drum of the dryer are these baffles that stick out and help tumble the clothes dry. I™™ve had items get stuck between the side of the baffle and the drum which causes the dryer to stop. It™™s a poorly designed baffle that should be at an angle instead it™™s 90 degrees. I replaced an older model that was better designed!

Overall, this is a pretty good dryer. It has a good capacity, and dries things well. Only thing I don't care for is how often you have to clean the lint - it's like every other use, basically.

I purchased both the Washer & Dryer and I absolutely love them, except the dryer was damaged when delivered and now I am unable to replace it because Electrolux not longer has one of this model available and I have no way to replace it, so therefore I am being forced to replace both my washer and dryer with an alternate brand! I am very disappointed to say the least especially since I had to wait 3 months to get these Electrolux products which I really wanted.

Bough in Sept 2019 and died in April 2021. Constantly says clean lint yet there is no lint anywhere in the system. Tried checking the blower, no lint. Tried checking the exhaust hose, no lint. Tried leaving the door open and holding the button down, still clean lint turns on after 20 minutes.

The unit runs great and is very quiet. I would have given 5 stars but socks keep getting stuck and I had an issue with the hose being located on the lower right of the unit causing it to be too far away from my drain.

I bought this as it was a close out in the price was really good. It™™s not nearly as upscale as my old dryer, but I™™m learning the settings snd it™™s fine! I like the energy savings end it dries things much much quick on top of savings energy anyway

Overall I like this dryer, the controls are intuitive and easy to use. It doesn't dry heavier loads completely, can't set time for more than 60 min. Need to check clothes promptly to ensure dryness, run for more time, or your clothes will smell musty.

It took me awhile several loads to figure out which settings would get clothes done. The settings are limited and, except for the delicate cycle, everything takes 60-62 minutes. Not exactly the modern efficiency machine for environment and utility usage. The dewrinkle setting doesn™™t do the job, and my old GE with this setting, actually did (extremely handing for suit jackets and materials that don™™t readily iron well at home). The machine is loud, and door is cheesy in its feel and construction.

Fatal flaw in the high end, super deluxe, beautiful machine is that that the lint trap comes out during the drying cycle leaving a giant exposed area for socks, underwear and anything small to fall into then get sucked into the motor causing the dryer to break. It's a nightmare as an appliance since the dryer is constantly broken. We have had numerous service calls and there is no fix! How can a top appliance manufacturer design such an idiotic machine that can't even operate reliably? Electrolux customer service couldn't care less. They have a scheduling system problem that over schedules customers too. Never again will I buy an Electrolux anything!

All too often when running the dryer, an item being dried will land on the lint filter. If another object doesn't sweep the filter blocking object away, the drier cycle stops and a 'clean lint' message appears in the display. This would be great if the filter was actually dirty but it happens even when the filter is spotless. This happens even more often when drying small items such as wash cloths. Then, the only way to complete a cycle is to throw a larger and heavier object in along with the smaller items (think pair of jeans). To make things worse, when you open the door to check the filter, the cycle resets to the beginning. At first I thought the dryer might not be level, but that was not the case.

I bought this in December and within two weeks it was broken. Needed the whole new motor and several other parts. I called and tried to get a new one because a new dryer should not need to be rebuilt within two weeks. They would not take responsibility. They would only fix it not replace it. It is ridiculous that it only lasted two weeks. I am very disappointed in this product and would give it no stars if I could.

Just run the automatic cycle and its done! Love the simplicity. You can choose other cycles, but the automatic works for me every time, and its not too long.
