    Faulty Lint Filter

    Lint filter came out while drying clothes. I heard the banging and was surprised to find the lint filter in with my clothes and unfortunately socks were down in the path of the air flow exhaust. I retrieved socks put the lint trap back and chalked it up to me not putting it down. Started dryer, checked back in 5 minutes and all was good. I headed upstairs. My daughter heard the clanking - it did it again!! This time I know the lint filter was all the way down. This time more socks went down and became trapped. Luckily my daughter heard it and we didn™€™t have a fire or something. Now the dryer makes a horrible noise it™€™s late on a Friday and I have tons of laundry to get done. So angry and this obvious design flaw.

    The dryer is fine but here's the one flaw: The lint catcher can get dislodged by clothes. This has happened to me several times over the three years I've had the machine. When the lint catcher is dislodged, clothes get sucked into the exhaust. They are hard to get out! There is an easy fix for Electrolux: add some kind of clip so the lint catcher is locked in and secure.

    I have had this dryer for about a month and had no issues with it and have enjoyed using it with my new washer. The size of the tub is nice.I do wish the drum was stainless steel, but that was not an option that was easy to find on any brand.

    We had this dryer delivered a week ago and it already broke. Similar to other complaints, the lint trap lifts out during the tumble and clothes get sucked into the machine. We now have to wait a full week for an Electrolux repairman to come and fix it after only using it for ONE week! Customer service was also terrible. Waited on hold for 25 minutes to even speak to someone. We paid $1000 dollars for this machine. Unbelievable.

    We purchased this unit about 8 months ago, when Lowe™€™s first received it. The sales person had no feedback or knowledge of this unit. After researching, I decided this was the unit, as it rated high in pet hair removal, anti-static, the ™€œrefresh™€, and the large capacity. After 8 months, it has destroyed Lululemon leggings, North-face sweatshirts, and school/work uniforms. The lint filter had been found in 2 pc at the back of the dryer. The door pops open at half capacity, or a single pair of shoes. The worst part is the ™€œextended refresh™€ is just a continuous rinse that locks the machine until you stop it at the end of the cycle. Yet advertising as it will dry your clothes so you don™€™t have to keep rewashing.

    I purchased my dryer because I loved all the wonderful features it had to offer. No salesperson needed for this dryer. The dryer sells itself. My clothes come out fluffy and softer than any other dryer I have used in the past. I like the fact I can use the steam to freshen my clothes if I need to remove the wrinkles if I let them sit to long in the dryer. Definitely will stay with this product in the future.

    We have had the unit for about 11 months now. We purchased it because of its higher energy start rating and good reviews. I am not sure we achieve the energy star rating though because rarely do clothes come out dry the first time so we have to add another 30 minutes. It doesn't seem to matter what size of load or what heat setting we have it set to. For some reason smaller items such as socks or underwear get stuck up against the door and those items don't dry at all. I've never had this with other machines. The machine is pretty quite and easy to use but overall not wowed by it for the price we paid.
