Nothing worst refrigerator I have ever owned

i bought this refrigerator as a whole kitchen suite. it has been nothing short of a nightmare. it pops a bangs so loud that my dogs run from it. i will never ever buy another samsung product again.
this is my 2nd time trying to write a review!! it won't let me post what i really have to say.
but that is how samsung wants it! they don't want to deal with you after the product is sold.
i guess (know) that i am done with samsung products!!

makes ice well but melts cubes into one large, unusable mass. ice dispenser shoots out ice chips all over the floor. locked glass shelf in plastic surround via two pia clips in the back & two pia clips in filter housing. the doors don't swing all the way out of the way, so trying to finagle the shelf out is tricky. front clip stabilizes, along with the drop shelf, is plenty and less headache to clean. veg drawer has a cracked face for no reason after just a couple of months. double shelf, ledge of bottom of basket. it's barely open on the far end...just enough for bits of lettuce and herb to slip in there with no way to clean. between the ice maker, produce drawer, and overkill design on shelf removal for cleaning, there are definite drawbacks.

purchased 6-23-2021 the rf looks great and is workable. just don't over stack it. food has condensation and ice is frosted over. no water drip tray. love the separate pull out drawer too keep eggs and deli meats in. icemaker takes too long to dispense ice, forget trying crushed ice. ice comes out cloudy and size is small. i had a kenmore elite same design as samsung for 4 years and the compressor went out. ice was always clear and maker was designed in door and worked great. bought the extended warranty from best buy for this fridge and am sure i will be using it. gave it a 4 rating and yes to recommend. design and color are great, liquids stay cold, compressor is quiet, but little details and known items to have issues should be fixed before producing more.

i have this fridge for about 30 months now and it's a nice looking fridge and works well. however, the finish on the stainless steel is now peeling and the thickness of the steel seems thin. i am not sure why stainless steel would peel like the issue with the black stainless finish. also, the steel must be thin because it dents very easily. the fridge i replaced was 11 years old stainless frigidaire and never had issues with the finish.

we already had the ice maker completely replaced at 1 1/2 after purchasing, now after a little over two years the black stainless steel is chipping. we clean it will all the appropriate cleaner and this is unacceptable. i tried to contact company and still waiting for a return. so disappointed with these products

the finger print less finish is truly that and i'm pleased with it. my older fridge had a upper and two side led light bars and bin lights, the newer more expensive model only has the ceiling light bar and while it has decent illumination, the older model was better lit, the bin lights were really a nice feature. also the older model has a long, thin, clear bin on the front of the freezer bin as well as the slide out drawer, this model has the projections to attach the bin but apparently the bin is no longer put on this model

i purchased a 4 piece kitchen package based on this fridge. i had never purchased new kitchen appliances before and chose this set based on looks and it was in my price range. it is huge!!! previously we had a "regular" fridge plus an extra one in the garage. we no longer need the extra one as this one holds everything. i love the middle drawer, we use that for quick after school snacks for the kids. we've only had this kitchen set for 3 months and hope to be just as happy with it for years.

we waited 4 months to receive our new refrigerator due to supply issues. please be warned that the stainless steel anti-fingerprint surface scratches very easily. when we put the door handles on, the ends are very rough/sharp and scratched our door. very disappointed in the fragileness of the surface paint. we are happy with the frig so far otherwise just bummed about the surface scratches.

don't waste your money unless you want to replace in 2 years. little over 2 years icemaker quit working. although we purchased the extended warrantee from best buy, they consider the ice maker an "accessory" and do not cover replacement. unbelievable considering it is not an add on to this fridge. we are told parts are no longer available to fix, so samsung continues to sell a faulty product with no way to fix it. if you have no problem spending $2,700+ and picking up a bag of ice every other day, this fridge is for you. will never buy another samsung product or recommend one.

i should have been more complete in my shopping.
disappointed in that the water dispenser is slow plus does not measure the ounces, the crushed ice spits out and on floor, shelves didn't work need to work on that probably take one out to get some more heighth and lose a shelf.
it will be ok but disappointed in myself for assuming an expensive frig contained 10 year old technology.
would not buy again.

the ice maker on this refrigerator is defective. it melts abd refreezes amd locks up! it started doing this after 6 months of purchase. after multiple times of defrosting and resetting it finally stopped working. we had service repair come out when it was still under warranty and it kept doing it and he said the next time they have to come out it would be $300! absolutely unacceptable for a nearly $3000 refrigerator! i am really sad because i love everything else about the refrigerator. however having a faulty icemaker ruins everything :(

the fridge is dandy and all but the icemaker freezes over and the method to thaw as instructed by a samsung certified service technician damaged the unit.
samsung refuses to do anything about it.
waiting on another tech to come out for a second opinion.
their customer service reps are polite and helpful but the company is kind of hot garbage.
they've known about this issue with the ice maker for years, they've done nothing about it and honestly this will be the last product i purchase from samsung.
be aware this is not specific to this refrigerator model, this will happen with any samsung refrigerator with a the ice maker in the main body of the refrigerator.

Uneven doors that local dealer service could not straighten, supposed to be contacted by Samsung but have not heard from them; a liquid was spilled on the shelf above the drawers and I can't remove that long expanse of glass to clean it and it looks horrible. Can't find anything in the manual or online on cleaning that area.

We've had our fridge for 3 months now and do not regret or purchase what so ever. Love the room and the flex zone it's great. We put warm cans in and hit the blast chiller and within an hour it feels as though we put them in the freezer to get cold. Best fridge we've ever owned hands down.

purchased this last year from best buy. look wise, no other fridge can beat this. the black stainless steel color looks gorgeous. the flex drawer in between is very comfortable for storage and very easily accessible.
one of the main thing one would look for in a refrigerator is the ice maker and i am sorry to say that the ice maker sucks. compared with ge, lg and frigidaire icemaker and i was pretty impressed by the way ice was dispensed from them. in samsung the ice dispensing process is not seamless and you would never be able to get ice without ice or water dropping out.

Refrigerator design presents variety of options for food storage. Drawer is especially valuable. Innovative separators allow many ways to divide your goods. Freezer on the bottom is the right position technically and convenient to use. The size of the freezer is ample. Water/ice dispenser with lighted area and lighted control buttons are very helpful. Though I had an issue, when refrigerator was just installed, with water dripping from the dispenser. But I was able to restore hermetic fit of the tubing with the help of instructions in the manual.

I've had this refrigerator for about three weeks now and absolutely love it. It replaced a slightly smaller side-by-side unit. What a difference! The shelves can be configured in numerous ways that allow you to store just about anything. It runs quietly also, which is a very nice improvement over the unit it replaced. This is just a very well designed refrigerator!

Bought this fridge about 3 months ago and it stopped making ice. No it wasn't froze over. We had the technician out ofay and he explained that we were given old software for and new hardware (the fridge) this resulted in I having to upgrade the mother board . Nice not having ice for over two weeks until the technician could come though. The technician was great though and our fridge looks pretty. I hope nothing else happens.

I bought this fridge at Memorial Day time (COV pandemic) because my old fridge died suddenly. Costco is my 1st choice but delivery after a month! Every shops around my home is a week or more. Samsung web site is really reasonable: 3 days delivery, and I got a nice fridge right after 3 order days.
